What is GROW?
GROW provides quality incentives to parents who participate in preventive and prenatal care, including parenting, educational, and nutritional classes to promote healthy pregnancy, birth outcome, and early childhood development.
Through the GROW program, families will earn coupons that can be redeemed for diapers, wipes, pull-ups, clothing, cribs, highchairs, shampoo, sippy cups, socks, clothes, and more. We know when our kids and families have the education and resources to GROW healthy and strong, our community GROW strong too!
The GROW Mission.
While incentives are a great way to promote and support our existing educational and health resources for kids,
the primary mission of GROW is to develop a community
for our young moms, families, and grandparents who are raising kids.
Once families come through the door, and a relationship is established, we hope they will be open to participating in support groups, workshops, and hands-on activities.
Who can use GROW?
Families or caregivers with kids from pregnancy to age 5 are eligible. Anyone in Grant County can participate in GROW, but we hope by housing the program in Jonesboro, it will create a natural connection for our Mill Township community.
Additionally, there is NO income requirement. We know many families working part-time and full-time are not eligible for other assistance programs but are still
struggling to make ends meet.
Can I Donate?
We’re glad you asked! YES! We are happy to accept new goods for infants and kids 2yrs-5yrs. Items needed include diapers, wipes, soap, lotion, bottle sets, pacifiers, clothes: newborn-5T, shoes, socks, diaper cream, and breastfeeding supplies.
We are happy to accept new larger items such as cribs and changing tables, but to help with storage space, we recommend making a monetary donation to the GROW fund through the Community Foundation of Grant County.
